Description:
*Please note, this event has changed location to Wood Green Library* Writing workshop facilitator, poet & author of CHARRED: Andreena Leeanne presents an event based on her autobiographical work. Andreena writes and performs poetry to come to terms with and speak out about her personal experiences with homelessness, mental health, LGBTQ, identity, childhood sexual abuse and many other challenges she has faced in her life. By speaking her truth, she hopes to inspire and empower others to speak and write theirs. In 2018 Andreena was Stonewall's Black History Month Role Model and was shortlisted for a National Diversity Award for Positive LGBT Role Model in 2021. Also in 2021, Andreena became a trustee of Action Breaks Silence which is a charity focussed on ending violence against women and girls. Copies of CHARRED will be available for purchase at this event. Parental supervision advised for children under 16 years of age.
