Description:
A Biblio-buzz 2023!
Join Grethe from Sandal Sticks Theatre for a fun, interactive adaptation of the H C Andersen story 'The Emperor and the Nightingale'. (The show references the subject of death but is dealt with in a manner suitable to young children.)
The emperor of China loves to listen to the song of the nightingale which roams the palace gardens. He talks of nothing else and does not care for other music or presents, until one day he receives a gift from the Emperor of Japan... a shiny, bejewelled, mechanical bird - the only one in the world. Will his feelings change about the real nightingale?
Suitable for ages 3+
