THIRTEEN are delighted to welcome you to The Original Gallery for their fourth exhibition at this lovely space in the heart of Crouch End.
In this exhibition thirteen very different photographers have each used their talents and skills to produce something unique. The built environment and public spaces feature large this year. There are abstract images of Canary Wharf’s skyscrapers, their reflection frozen in time against gently rippled water. One set of images looks at the interaction between people and their surroundings, showing the influence of the human hand on the environment.
One photographer works collaboratively with the public, investigating how the items carried around in our pockets and bags can tell a lot about us as individuals and the kind of lives we live - while yet another creates arresting images without even leaving the house.
We traverse the globe, from frozen landscapes of Hokkaido to grain elevators in snowy Montana- via the Guggenheim Gallery in Bilbao. A ballerina takes flight on the Millenium bridge. The aquatic world is portrayed in its natural beauty, yet with a hint of danger - and we visit the whimsical landscapes of Suss

Sashiko, meaning "little stabs" transforms simple running stitches into mesmerizing geometric patterns. As you trace classic motifs - waves, hempleaves, interlocking circles- you begin to see how repetition becomes art.
Sashiko is also more than embroidery, it's a moving meditation. the steady rhythm of stitching slows your breathing , soften your shoulders and the simple repetition quites the mind, leaving space for calm, clarity and creative flow.
No experience required, just curiosity. weather you are a seasoned maker or picking up a neddle for the first time, you will discover the quite thrill of watching patterns emerge beneath your hands.
The 114th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS TITANIC after it hit an iceberg is 15 April 2026. Come along to Muswell Hill Libray and make a cardboard ship in memory of the Titanic. Cut, fold, glue, colour and take home your little ship!
