🚨Calling all Haringey residents🚨
Black History Haringey 365 Free Creative Writing Workshop.
A 2-hour workshop led by Kat François, the talented author, poet, performer. Take part in a free creative writing workshop inspired by Haringey Council’s Black History Month theme ‘Standing Firm in Power and Pride’ and the George Padmore Institute’s archive collections on the Black Parents Movement (BPM).
Participants of all levels of writing ability are encouraged to take part. Develop your writing skills, respond creatively to the influential BPM, celebrating its 50th anniversary and learn about local Black British history. Participants will be inspired by stories of resilience, creativity and collaboration documented in our collections from the BPM to write personal reflections.
Requirements: To register you must be aged 18+ and a Haringey resident. Please email your name and home address to info@georgepadmoreinstitute.org. Places are free but limited so please apply early.
