Sashiko is also more than embroidery, it's a moving meditation. the steady rhythm of stitching slows your breathing , soften your shoulders and the simple repetition quites the mind, leaving space for calm, clarity and creative flow.
No experience required, just curiosity. weather you are a seasoned maker or picking up a neddle for the first time, you will discover the quite thrill of watching patterns emerge beneath your hands.

The day is used to celebrate women, and also to highlight and raise awareness about issues that women have faced in the past and present. Celebrate this day with us at Muswell Hill Library.
