Free Bookable Pianos and Music Production Software
Digital Pianos
With a valid library card, you have free access to use and book our digital pianos, with one located in each Haringey Library. You can make a booking here, or in-person at any library Information Desk, for up to 2 hours each day. We also offer free headphones to use, but you can use your own (compatible with 6.35mm jack).
Users are required to use headphones whilst using the pianos, and the pianos can be used without bookings - but be aware that bookings always take priority. If you are unsure of anything, or wish to make a booking in-person (on the day, or for a future date), just speak to any member of staff in a Haringey Library.
Logic Pro and Garageband
We also offer free bookable iMacs with music production software installed. This includes Logic Pro and Garageband, and like the pianos, is free to use with headphones (compatible with 3.5mm jack). Please speak to a member of staff and show them a valid library card to get logged on with a pair of headphones. Currently, the iMacs are only available in Coombes Croft Library, Marcus Garvey Library, and St Ann's Library. You can book your sessions here (for up to 1.5 hours per day) or with a member of staff at one of the three listed libraries.
You can find out more about the Logic in Libraries project responsible for the installation of these iMacs on our news post.
